How To Increase Your Energy


Do you have a big day planned but you just don’t have the energy or motivation to accomplish everything on your to- do- list?

Here are some tips to help you increase your energy so you can have a productive and joyful day.


  1.  Wake up and refuel your body.  Breakfast is an important meal that can set you up for the day.  A breakfast that will help you to increase your energy and sustain it for a long period of time should include some of the following food: Oatmeal with fresh fruit such as bananas and blueberries, with low fat milk. Throw in a handful of almonds or walnuts.
  2.  If you are having breakfast on the run blend some fruit, juice, yogurt, wheat germ with some ice for a delicious smoothie
  3. Throw some chia seeds on your cereal or in your smoothie for a healthy dose of omega 3 & 6.  This helps regulate your glands and combats inflammation. Chia seeds helps with the energy level that is needed to get you through your busy day.  Dark chocolate slivers tops it off nicely and will help you increase your energy and your mood.Increase your energy
  4.  Be mindful of your other meals and include foods that are rich in vitamin B 12. Beef liver, mackerel, sardines, red meat, Swiss cheese, yogurt and salmon are energy boosting foods. How to increase your energy
  5. Try to control your stress levels by learning meditation or join a yoga class.  Too much stress makes you feel fatigued and it is not good for your body and your brain.
  6. Exercise helps to increase your energy.  If you are not an exercise fan; a brisk walk or outside playing with your children or grandchildren will work wonders.  You will also notice that you will sleep better at night.
  7. Drink plenty of water and be sure to increase the consumption of water if you exercise or take dietary supplements.  A trick to use for your fluid consumption is to take your body weight and divide it by 2. Drink that amount in ounces per day.  If you weigh 150 pounds be sure to drink at least 75 ounces or 9 glasses of water per day.  Matcha green tea is also a fluid that you can include in your daily intake.

Try these simple tips to increase your energy levels and you will notice a huge difference in your quality of life.
